The wonderful light in Greece makes it a great place for impressionist painters to do original landscape paintings in plein air. PHTaylor 's years of living in the Middle East took her to Greece to paint many times. He favorite place in Greece was the Island of Syros which is the capitol of the Cyclades. Typically Syros is not a tourist island, so one can paint in peace and quiet without the hundreds of tourist who visit the other islands getting in the way.
